    Moving to Ventura from DC...

Post by kwells on Thu Aug 04, 2011 8:57 pm

    Hello,

My name is Kevin and I'm really into aquariums. I'm moving from the DC area in the next month or two. I wanted to find out if this is the biggest club in the area. I'm currently a member of PVAS and GWAPA, which are both pretty huge.

My current tanks (I will probably only bring the nano to Cali):
75g NPT w/harlequin rasboras, otos, koi angel, japanese trapdoor snails, mts, ramshorns, various plants
29g NPT w/texas map turtle, common goldfish
10g NPT w/neon tetras, japanese trapdoor snails, ramshorns, mts, pond snails, fire rcs, various plants
3.5g NPT w/rcs, ramshorns, dwarf sag, glosso

Cool. I'm pretty knowledgeable about freshwater plants, natural planted methods (lighting, filtration, substrate, etc), turtles, fish, shrimp, and snails. If anyone wants to try a freshwater tank, feel free to ask me for advice! I look forward to meeting up too!

Maybe, but I've figured out a method where I don't have to do any water changes or maintenance besides water top offs. Good luck beating that Cool

I'm not sure yet. It depends on when I get my job offer and when my move-in date is set. I hope to be there in mid-September.

I believe I will be living in Somis, just outside Moorpark. Pretty close to where you guys meet.
