    Keeping up with the Joneses

Post by sisterlimonpot on Sun Jul 29, 2012 5:30 pm

I thought long and hard about whether or not I wanted the word "sexiness" in the title of this thread, after exhaustively going back and forth and giving it much thought, I reluctantly decided against it because this isn't going to meet the standard, and I don't want to further cheapen the word. I even thought about using the word “Reeftastic” but I still think that I am going to fall way short of the expectations that word would represent.

What I would like to do is to present my next project, which is going to give me constant enjoyment, year round.

Without further adieu, may I present to you 384 ounces of pure indulgence in the form of a rimless glass tank.

Plumbing is done, Lighting is done, Leak test is done, what's next? add rock, add sand, cycle the tank and start stocking it.

I looked into those LED's for a refugium, but it wouldn't work where I wanted to put it. It looks like you got the 50/50, is that correct?

It's going through the cycle, long wait...

The plan was to set this tank up at work put some softies in there and let it thrive, but Terra keeps hinting at wanting sea horses, so I may end up putting the tank upstairs in our room and putting a few sea horses in there...the only thing is that I know very little about keeping those little critters so I will have to do a lot of research before tackling this endeavor.

I know where one is for sale. Cheap. Wink

Only bad part about having a tank in or near the bedroom is the noise. If you can make it wisper quiet, then OK. But beleive me, the Boss/Wife will hear it no matter what. Wink

hahaha that made me laugh!! So your whole gimmick is to first get them in the bedroom with the premise of looking at your exotic tank, and once they're in, the lights dim, barry manilow starts to play and by that time they are putty in your hands...

    Nice!!!

Cory, you should get the VDM and breakout box for your jr and have a switch trigger a profile to dim your tank lights too....

well I guess that's out of the question. I don't want a dwarf one and the minimum sizes for the other are 16-20 gallon tank.
